Skeeter - 11 yr old appaloosa mare (full sister to Hopper)
my first horse.. we've been a pair for 10 years now
unfortunately a mysterious lameness issue ended her riding ability early in life. she's had 3 foals and now is enjoy the rest of her days as a pasture pet
Hopper - 12 yr old appaloosa mare (full sister to Skeeter)
we brought her home the same day as Skeeter, she was supposed to just be a temporary companion and within 2 months, we'd purchased her
she was an amazing barrel and pole horse (and all around gaming horse in general) until a stifle injury (in the pasture) ended her career 4 years ago. now we ride whenever she's having a good day which isn't often
but even after being off for 3 years, when I climbed on her for the first time post-injury last fall, she rode as if I'd just rode her the day before.. she'll be living out her days as a pasture pet/lightly ridden horse
Reana - yearling miniature donkey jennet
ALL I wanted for my birthday this year was a mini-donk.. a week or so before I found her on CL and went and picked her out of the herd of yearlings.. unfortunately *think* she is pregnant by one of her half brothers.. hoping she is NOT prego
Remy - 5 month old mini-mule
after Reana beat up the goats and the rescue horse found a new home, Reana needed a companion. A month ago I found her on CL, drove almost 4 hours to go pick her up.. she's a little bigger than I'd hoped for (was hoping her and Reana could be a driving team but she's already half an inch taller than Reana) - but she's still loved
She's finally learned to defend herself against Reana's half-hearted bullying
